Swiss Post War & Contemporary artist Evi Kliemand is an author, painter and publicist born in 1946 — She has become famous for her well-known large scale paintings on canvas, which could be seen in sporadic extensive work exhibitions. In addition to her creativity as a painter, she’s been engaged in her poetical work right from the beginning, always in search of the adequate phrasing for natural events. Originally printed on gray handmade rice paper, the Evi Collection consists of 15 sophisticated & unique pieces. Kliemand used Woodblock printing, a technique where an image is carved in reverse on a piece of wood, dipped in ink, and pressed onto a substance such as paper or fabric, leaving an eccentric texture. These works are printed on Fine Art, acid-free paper.
